Big Cheese Entertainment, dba. was established in 2014 as a mobile outdoor theater service provider that has continuously aimed to offer a next-level product and white glove support unheard of in the inflatable screen rental industry. Since then we have expanded our expertise to include indoor mobile theater setups as well as professional corporate presentation solutions.

 

Locally built, from the ground up, and painstakingly curated to fill a special niche group of discerning customers who expect a higher quality rental experience when seeking a full-service outdoor cinema and audio-visual specialist in Utah.

How does Big Cheese Entertainment stand out from all the other outdoor movie businesses?

• All mobile theater packages include a minimum of one dedicated powered subwoofer to ensure immersive dynamic bass you can feel. We hand-pick speaker tops that enhance spoken word and dialogue since that is the primary bias in movies. All other backyard cinema providers simply throw a couple of generic cheap PA speakers on the ground and call it good.

• All our projectors are nearly double the lumen output of our competitors, meaning brighter and more vibrant images on the screen, plus all our projectors have a minimum of 1920x1080 native resolution for a sharp and clear true high-definition experience.

• Our rentals all include delivery to your venue, setup, testing, breakdown, and pickup. Most other rental companies charge extra for this service or don't even offer it at all. This saves you time and money from not needing to drive around town to pick up and return the gear, but also our friendly and knowledgeable technicians both set and strike, all the gear for you too, so you don't have to pretend to be an expert in audio-visual equipment. (*some locations are subject to an extended delivery fee.)

• Honesty and full disclosure, it is our practice to deliver what we promise, which is why we provide an itemized equipment list on our invoices including actual viewing image measurements. Other outdoor movie rental companies "inflate" (pun totally intended) the screen size by measuring from the outside of the screen frame adding another 6'-8' of size but not to the actual viewable image.

• Rear screen projection, while this option might be more common these days, it is a valuable quality of service and more importantly safety feature that we first pioneered long before anyone else in Utah. Simply projecting the image from behind the screen provides audiences with more seating, less noise, no equipment LED light distractions, and far fewer potential tripping hazards by keeping most of the wires and cables all out of the audience seating area.

• We aren't an all-in-one, one size fits all rental company. We specialize in mobile theater audio and projection only. This means we can focus on delivering quality results, without being distracted by popcorn makers, bounce houses, or whatever else other companies do to try to upsell the customer. We do one thing, and we make it our priority to do it better than anyone else.​

Being a native Utahn, I share the same love for the outdoors as do many of our locals. This passion for being under the huge star lit sky of Utah and enjoying an epic cinematic experience motivated me to build the best outdoor theater business in town. All of our equipment has been hand selected to provide a perfectly enhanced balance of vibrant bright visuals and crisp full bodied audio. Our technicians are trained to be outstanding, friendly AV professionals, promising to make your event a surefire success.
