Do not book our services until you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions below. An additional "Liability, Services, and Equipment Usage Agreement" form must be signed before services are provided.
Weather Conditions

Our equipment does not have moisture ratings and cannot be used or set if moisture is present. Our policy on rain and snow is the technician reserves the right to cancel or immediately terminate the event if either is present. This is for the safety of all parties present, as such conditions facilitate the potential risk of shock, damage to the equipment, and/or cleaning of the screen. The customer is liable for any costs and responsibilities associated with any injuries to attendees, replacing damaged equipment, or cleaning of soiled gear. If the event is terminated by a Big Cheese Entertainment representative for changing weather conditions the customer is still responsible to pay the entire amount of the invoice. However, the customer may cancel or reschedule the event based on poor weather conditions prior to the technician being en route without any cancellation fees or charges for the rental. If the weather forecast is marginally acceptable or undetermined, ultimately the customer has the choice of whether to proceed with the event or not with the understanding of the safety and financial risks they would be personally responsible for.

Screens are rated for gusts up to 10mph, more than this can be potentially dangerous to attendees and the safety of the equipment rented. The technician reserves the right to cancel or immediately terminate the event if winds exceeding 10mph are present. Moderate to high winds can affect image quality as the screen will shift and deform. This is normal for outdoor inflatable screens to reduce the chances of something like a ridged frame breaking under varying torsions applied by the wind. Just like with rain/snow, the customer assumes all risks and costs should they choose to proceed with the event. If the wind reaches an unsafe degree the technician will cancel/terminate the event, while the customer will be fully accountable to pay the entire rental amount plus the cost to replace any damaged equipment, and the costs associated with any attendee's injuries. The customer may cancel or reschedule the event based on high wind conditions prior to the technician being en route without any cancellation fees or charges for the rental. If the wind forecast is marginally acceptable or undetermined, ultimately the customer has the choice of whether to proceed with the event or not with the understanding of the safety and financial risks they would be personally responsible for.

Sunlight, ambient light, headlights, street lamps, overhead skylights, and interior/exterior building lighting all dramatically affect the image quality. For outdoor shows, our recommended show start time is at least 15 minutes after the scheduled sunset time on the day of your event, with our suggested "for best results" recommendation being at the forecasted time of dusk. You will not be able to see an image on any outdoor projection screen during daylight hours. This is because the screens are designed to reflect light, and the brightest light source will overpower anything else to be seen. Our brightest projector is 10,000 lumens while the sun produces roughly 133,000 lumens to give you an idea of why this won't work for any projection-based display. If you are still skeptical consider this, a professional drive-in theater with $100k industrial projectors the size of whole rooms, combined with highly optimized solid reflective projection surfaces, still will not show movies until dusk. For indoor events, you may start the show whenever you please, however, any windows, skylights, and facility lights must be turned off or covered to control the amount of ambient light.
Delivery & Setup
-
Delivery within Salt Lake City and nearby areas are typically included in our pricing. Areas outside of that are subject to extended delivery fees (see pricing above). We will travel to just about anywhere in Utah and other surrounding states given our availability and additional costs associated with travel distance, time, and accommodations. For the safety of our technicians, some instances with late event conclusion times may require overnight accommodations to prevent drowsy driving or collisions with wildlife on the roads. This will be an additional cost to the customer and will be factored into the estimate for services.

Cancellation of services by the customer prior to the technician being en route or on-site may be made without charge for poor weather conditions (see above "Weather Conditions"). Cancellation based on the prevention of spreading illness prior to the technician being en route or on-site may also warrant a waiver of any cancellation fees. Cancellation with 72hrs. notice prior to the event date may also constitute a reason for Big Cheese Entertainment to waive any cancellation fees. Cancellation for any other reason or without at least 72hrs. notice from the date of the event will be subject to a $100 cancellation fee to recover potential losses from other bookings. If the technician is en route to the event venue or on-site when the cancellation occurs the customer must pay the full invoice amount.

All venues where the setup is to take place must be accessible for rolling equipment in and out. Any steep inclines or stairs will prevent our technicians from being able to set up. The venue must have ramps or elevators capable of handling loads of up to 400lbs. The surface leading up to setting the gear and at the site must be relatively smooth and able to facilitate rolling gear across it. The distance from loadout to the set-up location must be reasonable for the technician to be able to accomplish within a timely manner, as this may lead to delays in completing setup before the event starting time.

Power outlets must be no more than 200ft. from the screen location, and must not be shared with any other devices. Some of our larger systems require a minimum of two 15amp outlets on separate circuits to prevent potentially "popping" a breaker. If this cannot be achieved we recommend renting our inverter generator. For the safety of our equipment, a customer may not provide their own generator without prior approval. As the generator must meet certain requirements such as being an inverter type with a clean sine-wave signal and have a running wattage output minimum of 7000w.

Outdoor locations must have the sprinklers turned off for the duration of the event and after the event concludes while the technician is breaking down the gear.

Screen size and sound coverage per number of attendees are rough estimates only. Numerous factors as well as varying personal preferences greatly affect the degree of expectations one might have when attending or hosting an event. For one person the volume may be too loud and for another too soft, a person may be seated too far from the screen to fully enjoy a big screen experience or equally too close. These are circumstances and variables beyond our control thus we will generally defer these opinions to the host to choose how to navigate those requests.
Operation & Guest Safety

Customers and their guests are not to physically interact with any of the equipment unless instructed by a Big Cheese Entertainment representative. This is for the safety of the guests, and equipment, and ensures the reliability of the show going forward. Any setup, settings, or operating conditions have been set by Big Cheese Entertainment and should not be altered unless instructed by a Big Cheese Entertainment technician.

Children and impaired adults are to be kept away from all gear at all times, with no exceptions. For events with more than 20 children present we require that the host has tasked at least one responsible and attentive adult to prevent children and/or impaired adults from playing on or around the gear. Many potentially life-threatening and dangerous hazards are present with an activity such as this. For this reason, we insist that all attendees are under responsible constant supervision at all times. Big Cheese Entertainment, its affiliates, and its representatives take no responsibility for maintaining the safety of your guests. If a representative sees a potential situation they may ask the guest and/or their guardian, or host, to take action to remedy the situation. Big Cheese Entertainment and its representatives reserve the right to at any time immediately terminate the event rental and remove all gear without a refund to the customer if they feel the attendees are acting irresponsibly around the equipment, presenting a safety concern to themselves, others, or the technician, or if the technician is being harassed or made uncomfortable by the actions or statements towards them.

It is necessary that all customers/event hosts present their guests/attendees with safety advisements regarding attending and participating in their event. Said acknowledgments should detail the potential hazards with respect to the equipment onsite such as, but not limited to, loose ground cables, ground stakes, tie-down straps, hot surfaces, heavy overhead objects, loud noises, spinning fan blades, strobing lights, and potentially dangerous variables caused by changing weather conditions. Ignoring or failing to avoid these risks may result in serious injury or death.

Big Cheese Entertainment its affiliates and its representatives are not responsible for the media content played on its equipment. We simply rent the gear and provide the technical support of set up. The media used is solely at the discretion of the customer. As such we highly recommend acquiring the legal rights to display copyrighted material in the manner it will be presented. Additionally, we are not to be held accountable for the MPAA rating of the content with respect to the viewers of the content. It is solely the responsibility of the customer/host to be knowledgeable as to the appropriate nature of the content and the consideration of their attendees. It may be necessary to advise your attendees of content containing, but not limited to, loud noises, strobing or flashing lights, disturbing events, or adult content.

If a host or attendee sees a potential safety concern it is their responsibility to notify Big Cheese Entertainment or its representative immediately so that the concern might be taken under advisement and addressed. All attendees maintain the right to leave the event and remove themselves from the venue premises should they feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any time, by choosing to stay on-site they personally accept responsibility for any damages and/or injuries to themselves or associated individuals in their care.

Big Cheese Entertainment and/or its representatives reserve the right to refuse service without disclosure of the reason at any time.

Big Cheese Entertainment and/or its representatives make no guarantee of service, for reasons such as but not limited to the availability of staff, equipment, resource availability, capacity/capability of gear, venue limitations, and location.

Images, descriptions, and/or marketing materials are for representative and illustrative purposes only and may not reflect the actual product or service. Our inventory is consistently undergoing changes to facilitate our customer's needs and uphold a high standard of service as such specifics and pricing may change without notice.

In the event of an equipment malfunction or failure, Big Cheese Entertainment and/or its representatives will make an effort to resolve the issue if possible within a commercially viable reason. Unfortunately, it is impossible to anticipate if or when a piece of equipment may fail, and it is infeasible to carry a backup replacement item for every piece of gear required for every event. In some circumstances, a refund in an amount determined by Big Cheese Entertainment may be offered but is not guaranteed. Big Cheese Entertainment is not liable for any amount exceeding the actual amount of consideration for the agreed-upon services.

Full payment for services is due upon the completion of the event. Late payments are subject to late payment fees in the sum of 15% accrued and compounded weekly (7 days) until the total amount due plus all late fees is paid in full.

A valid credit card is required for all bookings and kept on file in the event it must be charged to recover costs in the amount determined by Big Cheese Entertainment to replace missing or damaged equipment, cleaning costs, late payment fees, and/or costs associated with collecting payment. If the credit card charge is unable to fulfill the customer's obligation to those charges or the charge is declined, canceled, or refuted, Big Cheese Entertainment reserves the right to seek alternative methods of recovering its losses.
